Wednesday May 01, 2019
Wednesday May 01, 2019
“Your mind is exponentially stronger than your body and if there is something you want to do; your mind will enable your body to find a way” -- Patty Collins, Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.)
Many of us would probably never think of amputating a portion of our leg in order to remain on active duty and continue being an athlete, but that is exactly the decision Patty made when faced with a decision following a freak accident. A remarkable story of grit and determination that you won't want to miss.
Patty Collins retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of active duty, having spent over 7 years assigned to Special Mission units within JSOC. A pioneer in her field, she was one of a small number of women to serve in Special Operations and was the first woman in the Department of Defense to complete the Military Free Fall Jumpmaster Course.
Robert is a retired US Army Armor and Recruiter/Retention MSG turned Fortune 50 executive; Tom Satterly is a highly decorated retired CSM with Delta Force/CAG; Mike Rutledge is a former US Navy SEAL and US Army 160th SOAR chinook pilot who is currently on active duty.

EP-179 | Two Former U.S. Navy SEAL Teammates Talk Leadership & Transition
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Mike Wisecup is a retired U.S. Navy Commander and SEAL with multiple combat deployments. He served as the aide to camp to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey. He was on the ground during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and then returned in 2010 to help rebuild. Wisecup was the new guy on SEAL Team 1 when our cadre host Michael Rutledge was already a seasoned SEAL with that team -- along with Jocko Willink and others. These two go down memory lane and we touch on topics of leadership, mentoring, and Wisecup's interesting career choice post military transition.
Robert is a retired US Army Armor and Recruiter/Retention MSG turned Fortune 50 executive; Mike Rutledge is a former US Navy SEAL and US Army 160th SOAR chinook pilot who is currently on active duty.

EP-178 | Under Pressure
Wednesday Apr 03, 2019
Wednesday Apr 03, 2019
In the words of Freddie Mercury and Queen: "Pressure pushing down on me, Pressing down on you, no man ask for, Under pressure that burns a building down, Splits a family in two, Puts people on streets
Chipping around, kick my brains around the floor, These are the days it never rains but it pours".
Sometimes the pressure around us is too much, or at least that is how it seems to us. In this episode, Robert, Paul, AJ, and Erich talk about pressure in training, in combat, in the workplace, and in life in general. They share personal stories of their own stressful situations on the battlefield and in other areas of their lives, along with techniques they use to help them deal with these situations.
Robert is a retired US Army Armor and Recruiter/Retention MSG turned Fortune 50 executive; Erich Martin is an active duty U.S. Army Special Forces Master Sergeant; Paul Martinez is a retired U.S. Army Ranger sniper who served with 3/75th Ranger Regiment; Alejandra Avila (AJ) is an active duty Security Forces NCO with the U.S. Air Force.
