EP-205 | Active Valor. A Former US Navy SEAL Finds His Purpose.
Friday Oct 25, 2019
Friday Oct 25, 2019
Our identity comes from having a purpose in life. At times we may feel like we've lost our sense of purpose, our direction, and that we are going through the motions of life around us. Our purpose lies deep inside us, and when we find that purpose, it gives our life greater meaning. Perry Yee served in the US Navy within Naval Special Warfare as a member of the Sea, Air, and Land team (SEAL). He found his purpose and his passion after struggling with post-military transition.
_____Robert is a retired US Army Armor and Recruiter/Retention MSG turned Fortune 50 executive; Mike Rutledge is a retired US Army CW4 who started his military career as a US Navy SEAL before switching branches to become a pilot with the 160th SOAR in the US Army.

EP-202 | MACV-SOG Chronicles with John Stryker Meyer
Wednesday Oct 02, 2019
Wednesday Oct 02, 2019
The Military Assistance Command Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group, also known as SOG, and the heroics of these men during Vietnam are nothing short of incredible. A secret 8-year war in Vietnam was fought outside of the conventional war by SOG and their indigenous troops in Cambodia, Laos, and North Vietnam from 1964 to 1972. These missions would later be described as suicide missions.
John Stryker Meyer entered the Army on 1 December 1966. He completed basic training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey, advanced infantry training at Ft. Gordon, Georgia, jump school at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course in December 1967. After a 12-week training session in Ft. Gordon, on radio teletype, Meyer landed in South Vietnam in April 1968, and arrived at FOB 1 in Phu Bai in May 1968, where he joined Spike Team Idaho.
